Have to be honest with you. I tried to tell my clients to cancel or reschedule but they said they had clients fly in and willing to just give it a try. They weren’t disappointed if we didn’t catch but I knew that weather was up. I opted to fish the east end of the island since i didn’t see much on the west end. Heard some noise that condom bank was holding again so I pointed that way. Sure enough, as i rounded the east end of Sam Clemente the weather was up for sure. Once I got near the 381, I put out the rubber flyer to search. After maybe 20 min, I marked my first school and no bite so I decide to drift it out with a dead flyer. About 15 min later we were bit. But we also doubled up on a Flyline flyer. Our first of the year on that method. As mentioned before, this is a new method that doesn’t require a kite. We landed the two and it was about 1 pm. The weather got worse and worse and decided to call it early. Main zone was 32 37, 118 29. We did one long drift Then started searching g for 20 min before we called it with due to weather. Solid meter marks but weather wouldn’t let us work. That’s it for today’s report! It’s getting better after what I saw today.
