This is an absolute first to for me to stumble upon a wide open bite of yellowtail which lasted for hours! I started at the nine mile bank and just wanted to get out and do some fishing. Â We loaded up on live squid and thats the magic candy bait for almost all species. Cruising down the front side of the island, I found some puddling yellowtaill. Â I always try to brail some bait on those type of fish and see most of the time they react well. Get them into a feeding frienzy….and it was game on! Ended up with full limits (40) yellowtail and released a bunch too………. .members section will have more detailed reports with GPS numbers, bite times, tackle and bait recommendations included 😉
